Island Genetics – Cake City

Cake City is a high THC indica dominant hybrid strain with a strong sweet and savoury dessert profile. The flavour leans toward strawberry and bubble gum notes with a doughy cake undertone. The flower is grown indoors at a purpose built facility on Vancouver Island in no-till living soil. We use data driven farming practices to grow our plants. Our farm never uses any pesticides, salt or chemical-based fertilizers. Several of our fertilizer inputs are specially fermented and custom made to meet the rigorous specifications needed for our cultivation system. Our soil beds contain beneficial fungi, bacteria, nematodes, protozoa and worms. These organisms work to create an ecosystem where the plants can thrive and reach a level of health that produces high quality resin and strong immunity to pathogens and pest pressure. Once harvested, whole plants are hung and dried slowly for three weeks, hand trimmed and cured for a minimum of three weeks in small containers and never irradiated.
